Shadow

STOP!
It lingers in your mind without you knowing...
...it constitutes the deepest secrets within...
...the things that you're trying to... escape, and the things you don't want anyone to know...

YOUR OWN SHADOW.

Give back to Your Parents the Love You Received

I watched the live-action of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge last time and I really enjoyed it.^_^ But I am not going to talk about it because the drama is relatively short, it only has 10 episodes so anyone can watch it in just one sitting.

The reason why I mentioned that series is because I was (partially) inspired to write few quotes about the relationship of Kyohei to his mother.
Here it goes...
When parents stop being "superwoman" and "superman" in their children's eyes, that's when children should realize that it's their turn to be "super-child" in their parents' eyes.
******
When a parent stops trying to understand her child, it is about time for the child to start understanding her parent.
===========

And the partial inspiration comes from my experience. At some point in my life, and that point is now, I realized that between parents and children, parents can't always be the one giving love, care and understanding. Cliche as it may sound, but the world does not revolve around the children (around me) only. Parents might try to hide their pain and try to act selfless for the sake of their children, but it will not always remain that way.

Being a child, I experienced having a heated argument with my mom for petty reasons such as "her being unable to understand my feelings". But then again, did I really try to pause and analyze the situation? I guess not. Because whether I admit it or not, I selfishly look at myself like I was the only one hurting, and I was the only one who understand things.

One  day, children need to realize that their parents equally need the love, care and understanding they have given. And when that time comes, it is about time to give back what we received from our beloved parents.

A simple "Mom, dad, I understood what you meant, but trust me on this one", it might not solve all the differences that we had, but it is the starting point of mutual understanding that will result to respect.

An Innocent Observation

Lying in bed while staring at the blinking darkness of the space. It's still early to sleep. Yet, to be precise, I can't sleep. The worries about the uncertain future are running in my mind and disturb my whole system.
And then I paralyzed,WAIT!, when did I shockingly start caring about those things? Hearing my little cousin's laughter, just across the room, makes me think how wonderful it is to be a child- innocent and worry-free.

It makes me wonder…
When did I stop being a child and start thinking about the things that a typical adult will think of. Can I go back? Back in time when I was in the corner with my favorite stuffed toys and waiting for mom to give me my favorite chocolate.

Changes in life can be so predictable and obvious yet it just went unnoticeable most of the times. One day, you were just sucking your lollipop. Yet the next day you are facing the problems of the world. One day, you travel with family, then the next, you are so independent that you don't even bother your family sending you away.

My little cousin's laughter...reminds me of the way how to enjoy life and the future it brings. (~_~)

Dreaming

The pressure intensifies because
The clock is ticking. Tik-tok-tik-tok
Gotta find a job. Gotta find the job.

Not just any job will do.
I want the work that I love doing.
The job that will move me closer to my dreams, and fulfill my bucket list.
I can find it. And I will find it.
Just hold on to the plan. Just hold on to the dreams.
I know I can and I know I will.
